Clean Kitchen – the UK’s greenest grab & go plant based food company announces made in Chelsea’s Verity Bowditch as new business partner

Clean Kitchen are revolutionising the UK’s plant-based scene, offering a quicker, cleaner, and healthier alternative to fast-food which tastes delicious and is 100% vegan. Fully committed to ensuring all ingredients and packaging are environmentally friendly, sustainable, and of the highest standard possible, Clean Kitchen are consistently featured on Deliveroo’s Top-Rated for Value and are PETA approved – helping the planet with what’s on their plate.

January 2021 sees E4’s Made in Chelsea star and clean-living advocate Verity Bowditch join the team with brand co-founder and YouTube star Mikey Pearce, helping bring Clean Kitchen to the forefront of the UK food scene just in time for Veganuary.

Verity brings on board an initiative to implement the UK’s first re-usable delivery system to align with their zero-waste strategy on packaging and ultimate goal to become an entirely carbon neutral company. Her joining coincides with the launch of a new, ultra-nutritional ‘Quick and Clean’ menu alongside nutritionist Emily English.

During early lockdown, Mikey Pearce was at a crossroads after over-indulging in fast-food and lacking motivation as a result of an unhealthy lifestyle. A change finally came when he made the decision to switch to a plant-based diet, quickly noticing a hugely positive difference in both his physical and mental wellbeing. Tracking the growing trend for delivery kitchens, Mikey decided to take the plunge and invest his life savings into Clean Kitchen, alongside childhood best friend and seasoned vegan chef, Abe Day-Garman.

The two entrepreneurs created an exciting and innovative menu, reimagining fast-food to appeal to the masses with a healthy ‘Grab & Go’ concept. The brand quickly gained local attention for being the only vegan burger brand in Brighton, selling over 500 burgers a week as their presence grew online and across delivery platforms. They have since expanded to London with sites in Chelsea, Battersea and Wembley’s Box Park, with new locations on the horizon including Shoreditch and Soho.

Signature burgers start from £10 and include the ‘Classic Clean’, best-selling ‘Truffle Burger’ and the one we can’t live without, the ‘Chicken Mayo’. Also available is a Greek ‘it’s not chicken’ Gyros, a Mexican Bowl, Asian Satay Salad, and so much more. Recently added are the Sweet and Clean desserts including a mouth-watering Banoffee Vegan Pot!

Clean Kitchen Co-Founder Mikey Pearce comments: “'I am so excited to have Verity join our team as a partner. She encompasses the very ethos of clean living and is an absolute dream to work with. Her energy and passion for animal welfare and sustainability is infectious and makes her the perfect fit to move the brand forwards, helping change the landscape of the fast-food industry and how people view vegan food across the board.”

Clean Kitchen Brand Partner Verity Bowditch comments: “I grew up on a small farm with rescues and my love for animals has been deep rooted since childhood. I’ve always been vegetarian, but the more I was educated on factory farming and the effects it has on global warming, the more I realised that living a plant-based life is one of the biggest things we can do to reduce it. I truly hope that through the ethos and practices of Clean Kitchen, we can help change age-old thinking and make a real difference to the lives of humans, animals and the future of the planet we share.”
