Hubbard strengthens the food chain with its enhanced service network.

Leading British wholesale butcher, Ralph Pearson of Bradford, has invested in improving their distribution chain with the addition of two Hubbard undermount refrigerated trucks, increasing their fleet size from five to seven vehicles.
The third-generation Ralph Pearson partnership delivers beef cuts to butchers and food outlets across the British Isles from Cheltenham and Gloucester in the Southwest to Ayrshire in the North. Operating seven days a week each of the refrigerated trucks can cover up to 600 kilometres in an average day and ensuring a constant temperature for their payload is critical.
Founded in 1932, Ralph Pearson’s farm at Wards End, Bradford now produces a supply of Beef carcasses for boning out at their Linton Street, Bradford processing facility.
Robert Pearson, Grandson of the founder manages the business and says; “Beef has proven to be an important staple for consumers at home during the COVID-19 outbreak and ensuring the high quality of our product and the reputation of our Butcher customers is critical. These two Hubbard Undermount Transblock Refrigeration systems suit our requirements perfectly, with three-phase electric standby our vehicles are kept chilled overnight and are ready for use first thing each morning. The Hubbard service support has been outstanding, and the fully programmable in-cab digital controller provides us with a valuable temperature readout and audit trail”.
Simon Denny Transport Sales Executive - Hubbard Products, comments “We understand
that our clients need peace-of-mind and expect unrivalled reliability from our products, our
nationwide service support network, product range and over 50 years of innovation give us the ability to offer a wide range of practical solutions.
He continues “Running costs are always a key component of any refrigerated vehicle fleet, whether it is a home delivery fleet of insulated panel vans, larger rigid box body vehicles undertaking multiple deliveries across mixed geographical environments or national distribution trailer fleets serving high street retailers. Consideration of how the desired cold temperature can be cost-effectively maintained during down times and most importantly the environmental cost of that action, have allowed us to create opportunities for innovation in our service offering. Our customers are now supported by more than 100 service engineers across the whole of the United Kingdom, either from our dedicated Hubbard engineering team or any of our 22 associate partners to give a blanket 24/7 year-round professional support network”.
