Speciality & Fine Food Fair launches pitching opportunity for start-up drinks brands

Speciality & Fine Food Fair, the trade event for artisan food & drink producers, is calling on new drinks companies to apply to pitch products live to a panel of key industry experts and buyers, with the winner receiving a stand at the Fair.

Drinks Cabinet Pitch Live will take place on 6 May as part of ‘Thirsty business: a drinks industry deep-dive', a webinar examining the latest trends and talking points making waves in the world of drinks retail and on-trade.

Drinks producers from all liquid categories can apply for one of three places in the live competition, where they will have five minutes to pitch their product to a panel of industry experts comprising:

• Herchelle Perez Terrado, Founder of The Drinks Partnership

• Laura Willoughby, Co-Founder of Club Soda

• Raissa De Haas, Co-Founder of Double Dutch Drinks

• Dawn Davies, Head Buyer at Speciality Drinks

The opportunity to pitch is open to drinks companies which have launched in the period since January 2020 and have therefore had fewer chances to promote their products. The winner out of the three pitches will receive a free consultation with an industry expert and a stand in the Fair’s Drinks Cabinet in September 2021.

Speciality & Fine Food Fair Event Manager Philippa Christer commented: “At Speciality & Fine Food Fair we’re passionate about putting new and innovative producers in front of key industry buyers.

“When the Fair returns to Olympia London on 6-7 September 2021, we’ll see countless diverse producers on display in the always-popular Discovery Zone and our Drinks Cabinet feature, but until then it’s fantastic to be able to offer this virtual pitching opportunity to up-and-coming producers.”
