Yakult launch ‘Grow With Yakult’ initiative

26 April, 21

Research shows that gardening and being mindful of the outside is good for our health and that exposure to green spaces and outdoor sunlight, including our own gardens, can support increasing our levels of Vitamin D* – as well as potentially improving mental wellbeing, reducing depression and anxiety symptoms and having a positive effect on stress reduction.

To encourage positive wellbeing, Yakult are offering up to 10,000 people the chance to sign up to Grow With Yakult, urging people to harness the benefits of growing and gardening for their wellness, by growing their own Japanese vegetables.

Each participant will receive seeds for five Japanese vegetables – Ishikura Onion, Mibuna, Mizuna, Radish Mooli Minowase, and Tatsoi – as well as a detailed guide on how to grow the seeds, gardening tips and exclusive recipes from chef Yuki Gomi.

The campaign will also reach a wider audience via expert advice into the science around gardening and wellbeing, as well as resources and live cook-a-longs on Yakult’s social channels. This is part of a wider drive to encourage mental, social, emotional and physical wellbeing – Yakult believes that wellbeing is an interconnected experience.

To sign up to join the campaign and receive their seeds and guides, consumers can visit www.yakult.co.uk/GrowWithYakult.
