What are the new products?

The Mighty Banana & Cocoa Oaty Bars and Multigrain Puffs are the newest additions to Piccolo’s snack range, helping parents looking for healthier options for their children.

The Mighty Banana & Cocoa Oaty Bars are 100% vegan and gluten free. Made using organic balanced ingredients, with no added salt, sugar or palm oil, the bars are both delicious and nutritious. The bars are high in fibre, with the addition of soft textured multi-grains and inulin, a pre-biotic fibre, the bars support little ones’ digestive and gut health development and help to keep them full during their daily adventures.

Available as Tomato Rings and Carrot Stars, the Multigrain Puffs are another convenient source of fibre, containing 30% more fibre compared to other baby and toddler puff snacks on the market. Made with organic ingredients including protein-rich red lentils, the Carrot & Multigrain Stars also have 54% more protein than alternatives. This means parents can feel confident that their children are being fuelled by healthy snacks that also contain no added salt, sugar, saturated fat or palm oil.

Striving to give parents the best options for their little ones, Piccolo has developed its Oaty Bars and Multigrain Puffs with the whole family in mind. The puffs are suitable from 7months+ and the bars are suitable from 1 year plus, so can be enjoyed by children (and adults!) of all ages. Whilst many alternative snacks are typically high in salt and sugar, Piccolo supports families with options that are full of wholesome, nutritious ingredients.

Infant nutritionist and Piccolo co-founder, Alice Fotheringham, says:

“It can be difficult for parents to find snacks that strike the right balance between having nutritional benefits and being convenient. We want to change that – so we make sure each of our snacking lines incorporate fibre-rich ingredients, which is really important to support their digestive systems, appetite and growth.”

Cat Gazzoli, Piccolo founder, added: “As a second time mum, I’ve been reminded of how difficult it can be to find healthy snacks made from organic, nutritious ingredients. I wanted to make our Carrot and Tomato Puffs so parents can make healthier decisions for their little ones when it comes to on-the-go snacking, choosing options which are full of fibre and pack a protein punch.”
