SPAR, the leading symbol group in the UK, has won two medals at the first BBC Good Food Drinks Taste Awards 2021.
The new BBC Good Food Drinks Taste Awards 2021 have been launched to celebrate the brilliant own-brand and retailer-exclusive bottles available from outlets around the UK.
Winning medals from SPAR are the SPAR Harmonist Rhubarb and Ginger Flavoured Gin which has been crowned Best Pink Gin and the SPAR Premium French Grain Vodka crowned Best Vodka.
Adam Georgiou, SPAR UK Brand Manager, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for SPAR as both our own label SPAR Harmonist Rhubarb & Ginger Gin and SPAR Premium Vodka have been awarded winning medals in the first-ever BBC Good Food Drinks Taste Awards.
“We are very excited for our SPAR Harmonist Rhubarb & Ginger Gin to win ‘Best Pink Gin’ and our premium SPAR Vodka to win ‘Best Vodka’. We will be maximising these wins on pack and promoting the award to allow our retailers to make the most of the sales opportunity ahead of Christmas and the rest of the year.”
The SPAR Harmonist Rhubarb and Ginger Gin is made from a combination of 10 botanicals working in harmony together to bring customers a wonderfully hand-crafted small batch pink gin.
The SPAR premium French Grain Vodka is crafted from the finest wheat and demineralised water distilled four times to create an extra smooth clean vodka.
SPAR is supporting the award wins on social media and with in-store POS. Available in participating SPAR stores in England, Scotland and Wales:
