The UK's second best-selling vegan cheeze is celebrating adding another award to its trophy collection.

Applewood Vegan has won the Bronze Award in Cheese Alternative Category of the prestigious Free From Awards. Sister plant-based cheeze brand Ilchester Vegan Melting Mature Slices has also been awarded the Bronze accolade in the same category. Both plant-based cheezes are produced by Norseland, the UK's leading blended, snacking and speciality cheese specialist.

This 13th award* is the latest in the long line of awards that Applewood Vegan has won since it launched in October 2019. Other awards include: the Gold award at the Free From Food Awards 2020; Best Vegan Cheese in the 2019 Vegan Food UK Awards; and Best Vegan Cheese For Melting in the Vegan Cheese Co. 2019 Awards; and the Silver Award in the Dairy Free Cheese Alternative category at the International Cheese Awards 2022.

And the Free From Bronze Award is the third gong for Ilchester Vegan Melting Mature Slices, which has scooped awards in the Vegan Food and Living Awards and the International Cheese Awards.

Talking about the awards success, Ffion Davies, Senior Brand Manager for Applewood and Ilchester, said: "The Free From Awards are highly regarded throughout the industry and we are thrilled that Applewood Vegan and Ilchester Vegan have been recognised in these awards. Both brands are going from strength to strength and it's great that we are being applauded by the Free From society for offering tasty alternatives to dairy cheeses."

Applewood Vegan Block is available to buy in Sainsbury's, Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Ocado and Waitrose, while Ilchester Vegan Melting Mature Slices can be found in Sainsbury's.

* Applewood Vegan's awards include: including the Gold award at the FreeFrom Food Awards 2020; Best Vegan Cheese in the 2019 Vegan Food UK Awards; and Best Vegan Cheese For Melting in the Vegan Cheese Co. 2019 Awards; and the Silver Award in the Dairy Free Cheese Alternative category at the International Cheese Awards 2022.
