The National Organic Conference returns for the 17th year in a new extended format, running over two days in Hampshire on 1 – 2 July 2024.

Organic Farmers & Growers (OF&G) organiser of the UK’s largest organic on-farm event is inviting delegates to join them at Kingsclere Estates, hosted by Tim May, a fourth generation, organic mixed enterprise farmer.

This year’s conference theme will focus on food, farming, nature, climate and people. NOC will bring the entire supply chain together to discuss topical issues and exchange learnings.

Steven Jacobs, OF&G’s business development manager is the event coordinator.

“I’m delighted that Organic Arable, UK Organic, Organic Growers Alliance, the UK Grain Lab, and the British Grasslands Society have committed to collaborating with us at NOC 2024,” says Mr Jacobs.

“We’re all determined in our aim to secure a fairer, more balanced food and farming system that benefits everyone – farmer, consumer, and planet.

“Organic is a powerful force for change, we will be on one of the most progressive farms in the country and there promises to be much lively debate and insight at NOC 24, we’ll be welcoming regular attendees and new faces keen to hear more about what organic can deliver.”

The main conference on the 2 July will commence with a packed schedule of speakers in the morning, including Trinity AgTech, the team from the AHDB Monitor Farm programme and leading organic practitioners. This will be followed by a highly anticipated, two-course organic lunch prepared by the team from the highly decorated restaurant, Five Little Pigs.

The afternoon session takes in a farm walk around a section of the 2,500-acre estate, showcasing how Mr May’s innovative approaches are working to sustain thriving farm businesses to move towards a more circular economy.

“I’m certain that the initiatives at Kingsclere will provide plenty of inspiration for attendees. We look forward to welcoming all delegates, from the organically converted, regenerative advocates right through to the conventionally curious,” adds Mr Jacobs.

OF&G are holding an organic stakeholder workshop on the afternoon of the 1 July.
