Ueshima Coffee Company, Japan’s no.1 coffee, has launched two new ready-to-drink canned coffees - to the UK market for the first time.

Ueshima Coffee Company, Japan’s no.1 coffee, has launched two new ready-to-drink canned coffees - to the UK market for the first time. The Iced Latte and Iced Matcha Latte will be available nationwide, 60 years after Mr. Ueshima created the world’s first ever canned coffee in Kobe, Japan.

Brought to life by Tadao Ueshima in 1969, after he had to leave his coffee after a few sips to catch his train, Ueshima Coffee Company holds the Guinness World Record for producing the longest-selling ready to drink canned coffee. The new products which have arrived just in time for summer have been made with Ueshima’s innovation and craftsmanship, combined with an on-the-go lifestyle in mind.

We’re thrilled that some of our newly launched products – Iced Latte and Iced Matcha Latte – have already been so well received with 71% of customers we surveyed agreeing that the products stand out versus our competitors. We’ve seen a strong demand for our at-home coffee range, and we hope to replicate this success with this latest NPD.”

Both Ueshima’s refreshing Iced Latte and light and balanced Iced Matcha Latte are not only made to give those with a busy lifestyle a refreshing boost, they are also packaged in 100% recyclable cans, further strengthening Ueshima’s existing commitment to sustainable practices.

Both drinks have been made with premium quality ingredients, are low in both sugar and calories. The Iced Latte has 75 calories and 10g sugar per can, while the Iced Matcha Latte has 86 calories and 11g sugar per can. Ueshima’s Iced Latte and Iced Matcha Latte will be available from ueshimacoffeecompany.com, retailing at £2.

Since its successful launch into the UK market in 2021, Ueshima Coffee Company has built partnerships with operators including Waitrose & Partners, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Ocado, Harvey Nichols, Sticks'n'Sushi, Harrods, Japan Centre, Shoryu, Oakman Inns and Compass, to name a few, and has opened a Ueshima Coffee Company Coffee Bar at Ichiba Westfield London.
