AHDB explore the changing consumer landscape for industry

22 September, 21

With the consumer landscape continuing to change following Covid-19, AHDB will be taking an in-depth look at what that means for levy-payers in a series of webinars.

Analysts in the Retail and Consumer Insight team will provide valuable insight into the hot topics facing the red meat and dairy sectors, in three webinars running in October and November.

As well as exploring how the pandemic has affected demand, they will look at how consumer views around reputational factors, such as Buying British, health and the environment as well as animal welfare and trust in the industry, have evolved in the last year.

The webinars kick off on October 21, with the first focusing on retail, foodservice and consumer trends for red meat and the future opportunities and challenges facing industry.

On November 4, the second webinar will cover purchase and consumption trends of dairy products, followed by the final webinar on November 25, which explores the reputational issues across the food industry.

AHDB Senior Consumer Insight Manager Steven Evans said: “Due to Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdown and closure of restaurants and bars, the consumer landscape changed drastically last year, in both retail and foodservice.

“As we return to a more normal environment and restrictions start to ease, we will look at how consumers are reacting to these changes, as well as discuss some of the hot topics across the ever-evolving consumer landscape.”
