What is the new product?

The rice-based gluten free pasta is the newest addition to Piccolo’s cooking range created especially for babies and toddlers. Designed to melt once cooked, the pasta is a great choice for parents exploring new textures in the early stages of their babies’ weaning journeys as it’s suitable for ages 6 months and over. The pasta joins a host of existing intolerance-friendly products within Piccolo’s cooking range, including dairy free sauces and gluten free stock cubes.

Piccolo’s cooking range spans stir in sauce and stock cubes to pastas and risottos, all created with the help of co-founder and infant nutritionist, Alice Fotheringham. The range offers parents reassurance when it comes to home cooking, as all of the products are packed full of nutritious, wholesome and organic ingredients, and they contain no added salt, sugar or palm oil, unlike other alternatives on the market.

Why?

Striving to offer a range of intolerance-friendly products, Piccolo’s new rice-based pasta was created with parents searching for gluten free options in mind. The pasta melts down to a soft texture when cooked, which is ideal for adding new textures to little ones’ meals.

Infant nutritionist and Piccolo co-founder, Alice Fotheringham, says:

With the rise in awareness surrounding food intolerances, it’s important that Piccolo offers parents an inclusive range of products. Mealtimes aren’t always smooth sailing, so having a balance of accessible and intolerance-friendly products gives parents everything they need to cook easy meals from scratch with confidence!

Cat Gazzoli, Piccolo founder, adds: As a mum of two, I know how difficult it can be to spot signs of intolerances early on! I’m also aware of the wide range of diets different parents choose for their families. That’s why I wanted to add a gluten free pasta option to our existing cooking range, so parents can have suitable options for their baby’s feeding journey.
