Cherkizovo Group participates in one of the world’s largest food and beverages trade shows, the 24th edition of Gulfood international exhibition. The Company regards the show as yet another step for Russian poultry meat products to enter foreign markets.

The exhibition covers a total area of more than 1 million sq. meters to host stands of more than 5,000 companies representing 120 countries. More than 98 thousand visitors from 193 countries have visited the event over five days. The annual GulFood show is the world’s and region’s largest dedicated halal food exhibition. Halal food is of special interest for visitors from the Gulf countries, as they import over 95% of food. Emirates express a keen interest in food supplies from Russia.

The show’s participants obtained information on the nature of operating in the UAE market, import capacity and food demand in the Gulf countries, the whole Middle East, and Africa for which Dubai is the gate.

In Dubai, Cherkizovo Group showcased its best products – green and meeting all international standards and halal requirements. Cherkizovo poultry farms authorized to export their products to Arab countries comply with those regulations as evidenced by appropriate certificates. The Company uses the Dajajti brand for its exported halal products.

Cherkizovo Group is interested in tapping into foreign markets, and Gulfood is a perfect platform for promoting our products in the Middle East, Africa, and other regions with traditionally high poultry meat consumption. “We discussed the details of poultry supplies to both retailers and food service system,” stated Andrei Terekhin, Head of Cherkizovo Group’s Export Department.

Cherkizovo Group also joined the opening ceremony for the Russian Export Center’s exhibition pavilion in Dubai. The pavilion will display products of Russian manufacturers that already export their products to the UAE or intend to enter the country’s market. The Group will also exhibit its products in the pavilion and adjust its product range to meet the country’s needs and introduce new products to the market. The pavilion opening ceremony was attended by Oleg Fomin, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Sergey Levin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Igor Zhuk, Senior Vice President of the REC, and others.
