First oat milk chocolate brand goes on sale in Tesco

Great Taste Award winning oat milk chocolate brand, HAPPi, will hit the shelves of Tesco stores nationwide next week, becoming the first oat milk chocolate to be stocked by a major retailer.

HAPPi was the first mainstream oat milk chocolate brand to launch into the UK early in 2021 and will go on sale in 811 Tesco Stores from 25th April with three SKUs: Plain M!lk, Salted Caramel and White.

The HAPPi FREE FROM range makes great tasting chocolate the norm for everyone – regardless of dietary limitations or choices – appealing to both plant-based and allergen sensitive consumers who are looking for the highest quality, sustainable and ethically-sourced chocolate.

“This deal with Tesco is a game changer for HAPPi and will see the brand become the biggest and most widely-distributed oat milk chocolate on the market. We believe this will be the springboard for much wider distribution opportunities for the brand,” explains founder, Gavin Cox.

“In order to meet the rightly stringent guidelines for the Free From category within Tesco, we have created a dedicated allergen-free site to run alongside our standard production facility, with no allergens on site. So, when consumers buy HAPPi, they can be reassured that everything is completely allergen-free.”

With the vegan chocolate confectionery market growing at a rate of 12% year-on-year according to A2Z Market Research, there’s been a surge in confectionery companies launching alternatives to traditional dairy chocolate. HAPPi hit the market in January 2021, with the aim of providing the highest quality and most delicious creamy plant based chocolate that is sustainable and ethically-produced.

HAPPi’s 80g FREE FROM bars will be available from the Free From Aisle within Tesco stores nationally from 25th April.

HAPPi produces a full range of oat milk chocolate products including bars, buttons, nibbles, hot chocolate spoons and seasonal products. For more information on HAPPi visit www.happifreefrom.com
