Matthews Cotswold Flour launches range of five new flours

Matthews Cotswold Flour, one of the UK’s oldest yet most innovative family-run flour mills, is launching five new flours in response to increasing demand from artisan and home bakers for great-tasting unique blends.

The new range includes Stoneground Ancient Cotswold Crunch, Stoneground Heritage Bibury Barley, Stoneground Malted Cotswold Rye, Stoneground Cotswold Spelt and Rye and Stoneground Wychwood Oat Blended Flour. These new flours join Matthews Cotswold Flour’s range of over 30 different blends providing an unrivalled choice for both amateur and professional bakers. Matthews Cotswold Flour has over 100 years of experience which they have combined with a ‘start up’ mentality to put them at the forefront of speciality flour.

Stoneground Ancient Cotswold Crunch (1.5kg RRP £4.95) is a pioneering artisanal blend of three unique Ancient Grains, the distinctive flavours of whole grain Emmer and Einkorn combined with Cotswold Spelt have been blended with torrefied spelt flakes. This flour provides a distinct Cotswold Crunch flavour with the power of three ancient grains.

Stoneground Heritage Bibury Barley (1.5kg RRP £3.65) is a blend of a Cotswold Heritage Barley and local high protein wheat to boost your bread baking recipes. This flour produces traditional light golden breads with toasted barley flakes which gives bread a wholesome crunch.

Stoneground Malted Cotswold Rye (1.5kg RRP £2.90) is a wholesome malted rye flour with rye flakes and creates a dark and rich dough packed with flavour. The stoneground wholegrain rye retains its nutritional value from all three parts of the Rye grain for improved nutrition and taste.

Stoneground Cotswold Spelt and Rye (1.5kg RRP £3.10) is a blend of Wholegrain Cotswold Rye and Cotswold Light Spelt flour. This flour produces a lighter wholemeal blend from two nutritious grains and delivers a mild, nutty dark flavour.

Stoneground Wychwood Oat Blended Flour (1.5kg RRP £3.10) is a speciality blend of wholegrain high fibre oats and oat flour, blended with high protein British grade 1 wheat from the Cotswold Hills.
