Cherkizovo Group organises a workshop for the company’s meat processing plant staff. The event was held at the Group’s headquarters.

The workshop brought together specialists in charge of enterprise control systems and government inspection support from the smoked sausage plant in Kashira, and Petelinka and Mosselprom poultry processing facilities. It was conducted by Nadezhda Rayeva, Head of the Food Hygiene Department at the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) in the Moscow Region. The workshop spotlighted most frequent violations revealed during Rospotrebnadzor inspections at the food industry’s production facilities.

Cherkizovo Group is Russia’s largest vertically integrated manufacturer of meat products. Over 90% of the raw meat supplied to the company’s production facilities comes from own chicken fattening and pig breeding farms. Cherkizovo Group is the leading poultry producer in the Moscow Region. Boasting capacity of up to 30,000 tonnes of finished products per year, the fully automated smoked sausage plant in Kashira is unmatched both in Russia and Europe. It is expected to account for over 30% of the domestic smoked sausage market.

Each of the company’s production facilities has a veterinary and sanitary service, and quality assurance service. On top of that, we have implemented the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system and the Traceability System enabling us to trace the production chain from feedstock to finished products. In addition, we have introduced internal sanitary and hygienic inspections, laboratory tests, as well as regular internal and independent external audits.

Feed manufacturing is fully automated with production operations conducted in a closed mode to make sure that feeds are protected from any external impact. We have a stringent veterinary control in place at our chicken and pig breeding facilities. Each batch of animals has its own certificate. Our production lines are furnished with cutting-edge and high-speed equipment. Finished products are immediately placed in special refrigerated rooms for temporary storage before being shipped to customers.

Only products that meet strict quality standards can be supplied to customers. Our effective tracking systems enables us to trace products all along the production chain starting from their origin just within three hours.

“Product quality is our top priority, ”Elena Ageyeva, Head of Quality and Standardisation at Cherkizovo Group. We make every effort to ensure that our consumers enjoy delicious, healthy and safe products.”

Cherkizovo Group places special emphasis on product safety and quality across its production chain from feedstock to end product. We are happy to follow and implement Rospotrebnadzor’s guidelines as they help the company to further enhance and develop quality management systems across the Group’s production facilities.
