Sulphur dioxide was detected in the above batch of raisins that was sold both loose and packaged.

Sulphur dioxide was undeclared at the point of sale for the raisins sold loose from retail shops Top Quality Fruit & Veg, Ballinasloe and Maloney Fruit & Veg, Athenry. It was undeclared on the label of the raisins sold packaged at Market Fresh, Navan Shopping Centre. The presence of undeclared sulphur dioxide may make the raisins unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of sulphur dioxide.
