Tim Moran, Logistics Director of Yearsley Group, has been appointed president of the Food Storage and Distribution Federation (FSDF). The FSDF is the main trade organisation representing the food logistics industry.
With more than 25 years’ experience in frozen logistics, encompassing both warehouse and transportation operations, and having sat on the FSDF board since May 2013, Tim brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the role.
In 1955 Yearsley Group had a vision for food storage and distribution that have ultimately set the standards in frozen food logistics. With 12 depots including 3 superhubs and a fleet of over 300 temperature controlled vehicles, Yearsley Group is the largest frozen food network in the UK and one of the most recognisable brands on the road. Tim has been instrumental in the development of strong, long term customer relationships and facility innovations.
Moran will serve as FDSF president for 2 years through to December 2019. Chris Sturman, CEO of FSDF commented, “We are delighted to have Tim on board as our new president. Yearsley Group and Moran have played a pivotal role within the UK logistics sector over the past 10 years, continually investing in infrastructure, service and technology – innovating where it really matters to stay ahead of the curve.’
