The UK’s second most popular plant-based cheeze has kickstarted 2023 with a new look.

Applewood Vegan, the vegan version of the UK’s number one smoky cheese and the second best-selling vegan cheeze*, has undergone a rebrand to give it a more contemporary feel, moving away from the ‘traditional British cheddar with a twist’ tagline to ‘A Brit Different’ which combines British Cheddar Cheese with the added quirky twist of the unique smoky taste.

The new branding can be seen on packs in supermarkets across the UK, including Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Waitrose and Aldi; Applewood Vegan launched in Aldi’s Specialbuys promotions at the start of the year for the month of January in over 900 Aldi stores.

Talking about the new look and feel, Ffion Davies, Brand Manager for Applewood Vegan, said: “The Applewood Vegan brand was first created back in the autumn of 2019, when it launched in Asda stores across the UK. Fast forward to January 2023 and we now have Applewood Vegan Grated and Applewood Vegan Slices available to buy in the supermarket giants across the UK, so we really felt it was time to freshen up the brand to represent the new launches and the direction that the brand is heading in. We hope all our consumers love it as much as we do.”
