Challenger brand Crave has secured listings in selected Asda stores for its bold new maize snacks: Pickled Onion Monster Feet and Smokey Bacon Flavoured Streakers. Both are vegan and free from allergens without compromising on taste.
Created by food consultant and former chef Rob Brice, Crave has developed products which are for everyone to enjoy, whether you’re vegan, have an allergy or not. “We are thrilled that Asda want to join us on our journey to tackle the bland and boring! Those with allergies or preferring a vegan diet no longer have to hunt for tasteless alternative snacks, they can now grab Pickled Onion Monster Feet and Smokey Bacon Flavoured Streakers in selected Asda stores across the country” explains Rob.
First launched in December 2021, the snacks were quickly picked up by The VeganKind Supermarket where the bold flavours and brave branding received rave reviews. Crave’s tongue-in-cheek approach and playful attitude has appealed to both customers and investors alike, having secured funding from an angel investor earlier in the year. The unorthodox approach taken by Rob Brice and his team has seen some cheeky stunts prove to be effective, including a bus stop advert outside the Asda HQ which read;” We spent loads on this ad to get Asda’s Attention” The cheeky stunt resulted in a listing with the ’Big Four’ supermarket chain, Asda.
The journey of Crave will certainly be an exciting one to watch. Founder Rob reveals “it has been a rollercoaster of a year so far, with lots of exciting projects in the pipeline, we can’t wait to unveil the next chapter for Crave…watch this space.”
